Parts Abnormal Demand
Exclude Call and Demand History for Specific Work Orders or Customers
Are unexpected, one-time sales events—like service rework jobs or large project orders—skewing your demand history and leading to costly overstocking?
The Parts Abnormal Demand application from FDC Solutions is the automated solution designed to optimize your inventory levels and dollars by providing your dealership with the ability to strategically exclude abnormal call and demand history for specific parts sales.
Stop Overstocking and Reclaim Inventory Dollars
Typically, dealers must rely on manual, time-consuming processes—like using the Abnormal Sales option or specific transaction codes—which require constant vigilance and are prone to human error. Our module eliminates these manual processes, ensuring accurate stocking decisions every time.
The core problem is that call and demand history for parts used in non-standard repairs (i.e., a service "re-do" work order) is captured, which subsequently increases the amount of inventory stocked in the replenishment process.
The Parts Abnormal Demand application solves this by
Optimizing Inventory. Exclude call and demand history for parts sold to specific customers or work orders, thereby optimizing inventory levels and dollars.
Retaining Valid Data. Retain the necessary parts call and demand history for all valid parts sales, ensuring core stocking decisions remain accurate.
Eliminating Manual Effort. Eliminate the constant manual processes otherwise required by parts data entry or inventory control personnel.
Key Features and Benefits: Automated, Granular Control
The Parts Abnormal Demand application provides two powerful, automatic options for excluding parts from demand.
Customer Number
Allows dealers to select specific customer numbers, automatically forcing all parts sales call and demand to be excluded from the parts store record.
Work Order Number
Allows dealers to select specific work orders, automatically forcing all parts sales call and demand to be excluded from the parts store record.
Once a customer or work order is set up in the module, automatic adjustments are made to the transaction code (TR) on every parts document created.
